Our Practice

We are committed to providing extraordinary personalized care in a trusting environment, where patients and staff look forward to coming to our office and leave with a sense of well- being, accomplishment and pride.  In order to promote optimum dental health, we are dedicated to increasing both our knowledge and our ability to educate our patients so that they can make informed decisions.

Our Facility:

Our facility is situated in a small dental complex built in the early 1960’s. It is listed by HoustonMod.org as one of the few remaining commercial buildings in Houston designed in the classic Modern Style. Inside, you will find that we are equipped with the latest in all aspects of 21st Century technology, from digital X-rays to personal video glasses.


Our Staff:

Lana Edwards, RDH
Lana was born in Arkansas and lived in Memphis, Tennessee before her father was transferred to Houston in 1959. She graduated from Westbury High School and received her dental hygiene degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch in 1965.  Lana has over 40 years in the dental profession, and has worked in oral surgery, orthodontics, and general practice.  She has been employed by Dr. Rayburn and Dr. Hilliard since 1986. She and Robert, along with their West Highland Terriers Bogey and Blanca, live in First Colony. Lana’s hobbies include gardening, sewing, cooking, and crafts of any kind.

Vanessa Haskins
She has worked as a Dental Assistant for 18 years. Worked with Dr. Rayburn for over 3 years and enjoys it very much. Vanessa has been married to her high school sweetheart for 33 years. They have two children, a son and a daughter, and 5 grandchildren. She and her husband currently live in Manvel, where they have lived for 14 years.

Elia Huerta
Elia was born in Floresville, Texas, and grew up in Lamesa, Texas. She moved to Houston in 1966, and has been in the dental field for over twenty five years. She worked as a Certified Dental assistant for nine years, and then moved into the administrative area of dentistry, which she prefers. She has been working with Dr. Rayburn and Dr. Hilliard since September of 1998.
Elia has three children, a son and two daughters, and enjoys traveling with her husband Tony, reading, watching college football (especially the University of Texas Longhorns), and the company of her two grandchildren.

Janice Riggins, CDA
A native Houstonian, Janice is married with four sons. She has been in the dental field for over 14 years. Janice is a national certified dental assistant (CDA) and a member of the American Dental Assisting Association (ADAA). Janice enjoys working with her patients and helping them attain proper oral care.

Renee Salamone
Renee was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, and raised in Fairfax, Virginia. She has lived in Houston for over 20 years and loves to read. She has worked in the dental field for 30 years, and has been with Dr. Rayburn and Dr. Hilliard since January of 1998.
